Welcome to Haven's first Virtual Mission Trip!!

In 2017 and again in 2018, members of Haven Community Church traveled to Port Au Prince, Haiti on the first ever Haven Mission Trip. There, we traveled to the town of Gressier where we met Pastor Hug and Jonas, two men with the biggest hearts for God and their community. Pastor Hug was ready to sell his car to get money to build his church but the members of Haven Community Church felt God's calling and stepped in. In 2018, Haven Church Haiti was born! Since then, Pastor Hug has continue to grow his church community including the construction of a church building and a school to continue to share the love of Jesus Christ and to raise a community of Christ followers.

Haven Community Church has continued the promise to support our sister church since 2018.

 Virtual Mission Trip

Our love for Haven Church Haiti is so strong and we strive to continue to support our sister church. While the members of the Haven would love nothing more than to travel back to Haiti, unfortunately the country of Haiti has since been taken over by hostile gangs and the country is not safe to visit.

Our Haven Helping Hands Mission Team has put together a Virtual Mission Trip so that all can experience God's glory working through Pastor Hug and Haven Church Haiti!

Each week, users can experience different aspects of the country of Haiti as well as meet Pastor Hug and his congregation, revisit the memories made during the 2017 and 2018 trips, learn about the updates and wonderful progress that Pastor Hug has made and learn more about how you can continue our mission to share God's love and support our sister church.

When we sent a message to Pastor Hug about our Virtual Mission Trip, he was overjoyed! Here is his response:

Dear sister, I say thank you to God for giving you the inspiration for such a beautiful project for my community. … I had to meet with the Church committee to share your project…They were overjoyed to hear this good news. For my part, I am really proud and happy at the same time, because I told the members of the Church every day that the members of the HCC would like to return to Haiti to continue the work they had already started. This is because the country is becoming too dangerous to let missionaries into our country. This project is proof of my various discussions with members of the Church. We are happy to share and work together to give you all the informations you need for the success of this great project. It's not much for me, it's a job that I have to put all my strength and knowledge into to succeed. Thank you for thinking about the advancement of my community, and thank you for all your prayers. God bless you all ,  love, peace for all of you !”

Each week, we will upload images, videos, links, graphics, testimonies, stories of our trips and updates from Pastor Hug. We encourage you to read, view, and click to experience all things Haven Church Haiti. We hope this virtual mission trip allows you to gain a deep understanding of our love for Pastor Hug and his community. Please join us in prayer for our sister church and our brothers and sisters in Christ. We thank you for your support! God Bless!

Please join us in prayer

Heavenly Father,

As we embark on this virtual mission trip to Haiti, we come before you with open hearts and humble spirits. We acknowledge that though we are not physically present, our prayers and actions can still reach across borders and touch lives in meaningful ways.

Lord, we lift up the people of Haiti to you. You know their struggles, their joys, and their needs intimately. We pray for your provision and protection over every community, especially those facing hardships and challenges. May your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment as we engage virtually with our Haitian brothers and sisters. Help us to listen attentively, to learn with humility, and to serve with compassion. Guide our conversations and interactions so that they may reflect your love and grace.

Empower us, Lord, to be channels of your healing and hope. May our efforts in prayer, advocacy, and support bear fruit that brings glory to your name and tangible blessings to those in need. Strengthen the local churches and organizations in Haiti as they continue to be beacons of light in their communities.

Lord, we commit this virtual mission trip into your hands. May it be a time of deepening faith, renewed commitment, and transformative encounters with your presence. Bind us together across the miles, uniting us in purpose and love for your kingdom.

In Jesus' name we pray,

Amen.
