Mrs. Clarkin has been in education for 29 years. This is her 27th year teaching at Forest Brook. She has taught 1st, 3rd and 4th grade. This is her 17th year teaching 1st grade. (It's her favorite!) She attended Dowling College where she received a B.A. in English Literature, a B.A. in Elementary Education, a M.A. in Literacy and a M. A. in Special Education. She is certified to teach pre-K, K-6 Elementary Education, K-12 Special Education, and K-12 Literacy. Mrs. Clarkin is married and she has 2 children. During her free time, Mrs. Clarkin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, gardening, cooking, and organizing. She loves to travel, relax on the beach, and go shopping! On the weekend you can find her reading on her front porch, cooking in her kitchen or shopping at Target!
