We as a student body have been robbed by this horrible disease. We have lost our opportunity to truly experience our senior year. And although this is disheartening, its proof that we will be the ones to correct our parents and grandparents mistakes and finally fix this broken country. Some of us may not know where we'll go or where we'll end up, but it doesn't take a genius to know that each and every one of us will do something great.

Neal A. Maxwell once said “Small lights have a way of being seen in a dark world.”
Although singular, the light of Miss. Contino follows Maxwell's principle perfectly, with its immensely widespread and transformative impact. In a fashion not unlike that of Mary Poppins, Contino answered a cry for help that existed not only from the necessity of the School Board to find a replacement choral teacher, but also in the hearts of all the students who felt lost amongst the disrupted path of their musical career. Miss. Contino, through what I can only describe as an inexplicable miracle, mustered a glowing positivity that dug the choir out of their sorrows and continued to shine from the first day of class to the last Google Classroom post. She was able to take students who started the year looking for reasons to turn away from her, and through an unprecedented amount of strength and courage, created a group ready to tackle the notoriously difficult NYSSMA Majors and Virginia Competitions set for this past Spring. Even when waves of sadness again poured over the choir, with the news of Corona and the subsequent lack of physical school and socialization, Contino challenged us to push on and do what we love; sing.
Thus, I would like to offer my deepest and sincerest of gratitude to Miss. Contino. For teaching me not only how to keep singing, but how to keep living.

Dear Ms. Griffin,
Throughout the years, you have always been here for me and my ups & downs. Looking back at everything you have done for me, my mom and I am extremely grateful. I am so appreciative of you, and thank you for making me feel like I was more than a student, and that I was your friend. Thank you for making me feel loved at times when I didn't, and thank you for bringing me up when I was at my downs. I mean when I say, I will always remember you and your love/care for me.
