Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
What materials will you need for your project?
What is your plan to create in this project?
What unique qualities will your project have?
Daily Log:
Every day you work on your project you need to tell me what you did and most days have at least one picture. Example: “Day One - worked on my list of 10 Good Ideas while Googling about …”
Images and Video:
Ensure you are taking pictures of the process and attaching them to your website. When you finish your project you will make a video showing off what you created.
These Sentence Starters will help you to earn an 80%
Make sure you have your video of a project

Using a micro:bit, a speaker and Microsoft Makecode, I created a thermometer, a compass. a song, a dice, and flappy bird because I wanted to make things that are unique to me and that I enjoy using.
During this process, I learned how to code using a micro:bit, how to a make a song using a micro:bit, how to make a compass, and how to make a thermometer.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose the projects I was going to make during this project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make variables in my code. I was able to do it by watching tutorials and looking at step by step tutorials.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the code for my song. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't really know what i was doing and it sounds bad.

My project connects to careers in game developers because I made the game flappy bird using a micro:bit.
Using a micro:bit, a speaker, and Microsoft MakeCode, I created multiple projects, including a thermometer, a compass, a song, a dice roller, and Flappy Bird. I chose these projects because they reflect my interests and show offmy creativity. Each creation was unique to me, allowing me to engage with technology in a fun and interesting way. Through this process, I learned important coding skills and how to bring my ideas to real life. During this process, I learned how to code using a micro:bit, which allowed me to create multiple projects. I discovered how to create a song with the micro:bit, allowing me to show off my creativity through music. Additionally, I learned how to build a compass and a thermometer, inproving my coding skills. Each project taught me important coding skills and improved my understanding about coding and its abilities. My project ties with the Empowered Learner standard because I got to choose which projects I wanted to create. This allowed me to bring my interests to life and take ownership of my learning experience. By selecting projects that I was passionate about, I felt more excited and motivated throughout the process. This not only encouraged me to think for myself but also encouraged me to think creatively and pursue my ideas with confidence. A challenge I overcame during this project was figuring out how to create variables in my code. I tackled the issue by watching various tutorials and following step-by-step guides. This resourcefulness helped me understand how variables work. Overcoming this challenge made the process more rewarding and taught me the value of seeking help when needed. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the code for my song. The reason why i would change it is that i didn't really know what i was doing, and it sounds worse then i expected. I have realized that refining the structure and experimenting wit melodies could enhance the over flow of the song. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School by making codes for a certain function. I slowly understand more and more about code and how to make codes for my micro:bit. My prioject to game devolpers because i created a version of Flappy Bird using a mirco:bit. This experience allowed me to explore game design principles while learning how to program using a micro:bit. This project allowed for improvement of my coding skills in game devolping,
