Using Cospaces, I created a cool parkour map with difficult jumps. I made that because I was scrolling through other peoples designs on Cospaces and I thought it was pretty fun, so I made my own one.
During this process, I learned how to use the materials that are given to me to my advantage, and I also learned how to use the Coblocks version of coding.
The seven standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I learned how to code. It also connects to Global Collaborator because everyone in the world can see and play with my project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to code. I was able to do it by looking at videos on their website and just attempting to do it on my own.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how long my map was. The reason I would change it is because I feel like after you do it a couple of times it gets really easy, so I would make it harder.
This project connect to careers in digital multimedia and marketing at Hastings High School Career and Technical Educational Program.
