Using a micro bit I created a step counter because i do cross country and I love to run. During this project I learned how to code a step counter onto a micro bit. The seven standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the innovative designer because we are trying to build a new step counter to increase physical fitness and improve on current step counters in the market place. A challenge I overcame was downloading it onto the micro bit. I was able to do it by getting help from the people by me. If I had a chance to do this again I would make a way to put miles on it. I would do this because it would be easier to know miles instead of having to do the math. My project connects to the CTE programs at Hastings public school in both engineering design and marketing so that we can design and sell a made product. That's my project and what I did.
