We decided on a Playdough Piano for our first half of the project.

For this project I am working with 2 other people. My team is Jackson and Lizzy.

We will need a Makey-Makey, Playdough, Alligator Clips, USB, and Chromebook.

Our plan for this project was originally to create a working drum set but we ended up doing the playdough piano.

Unique qualities of our project are that we all worked together and figured out things.

• Using Playdough and a Makey-Makey, I created a Piano because we were originally going to do a drum set but we didn't know any songs to play on it.

• During this process, I learned How to program different buttons for different interactions on a Makey-Makey.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because we took the information that we already had from the first half of our last project on Makey-Makey's and used that information to learn more and make something different..

• A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to get the Alligator clips to hook to the Makey-Makey and work correctly. I was able to do it by all of us working together and eventually figuring out what worked with what and what to press when we wanted certain things to happen.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change The video to show more examples. The reason why I would change it is because, just giving one example video isn't going to show or prove a whole lot.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the ______________ CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in ___________________.

We decided on a Playdough Tetris Controller for our second half of the project.

• Using The Playdough and a Makey-Makey, I created a Tetris Remote because we thought that if you made a remote for tetris, it would be a lot easier than just using a touch screen and can help people do speed runs of the game.

• During this process, I learned what control did what function. such as turning the cubes, starting over, pushing the cubes down, etc.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we used the makey-makey to play a song off of the Piano.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was getting used to the tetris remote control instead of just tapping a one button screen. I was able to do it by practicing over and over until we got used enough to it to record an example video.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the video to show a close up of the Makey-Makey and a close up of the tetris and put together the two videos so you can see how each thing interacts with what. The reason why I would change it is because you can see what pressing certain buttons would do to the game and how it would interact with it.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.
