What materials will you need for your project? 3d printer and carboard.
What is your plan to create in this project? We will build the chess board first and it will be a box and there will be an opening with a hole so we can put our chess pieces in there.
What unique qualities will your project have? It will have a hole at the bottom where you can hold the chess pieces at.
Using carboard and Tinkercad, I created a carboard and 3d chess board. because I thought it would be interesting and fun to make.
During this process, I learned that you cant put to much pressure on the board.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to because Knowledge Constructor because I used stuff to learn more about building with carboard and I've gotten better.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the board sturdy. I was able to do it by using hot glue.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the base of the board and walls. The reason why I would change it is because it was hard to evenly put the walls on the board and hard to make the base equal so the walls went on perfectly.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in programing and construction.
We started to make the base of the board.
We started to make the walls and hot glue them to the bottom of the board.
We finished putting the walls on and made a slit to put the pieces through to hold it in and started making the top of the board.
We finished the making the slit and the top of the board and than we started to make 3d chess pieces.
We finished printing and we started to put popsicle sticks on the board.
We finished gluing the popsicle stick and we finished coloring the chess pieces. And we started to design the board.
We finished the outline for where the pieces will be placed/played at and we finished coloring.
We made a stop motion video of us playing.
