Class Standards and Design Thinking

Standards:

In this class, we will be using the Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies for Students (MITECS) also known as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards.  For each standard, you will write a 3 to 5 sentence paragraph.  Please use this link to create your paragraphs. 

1. Empowered Learner

Empowered learners don’t just know content. They have high self-efficacy. a positive learner identity, emotional intelligence.social awareness and the skills and know-how to take on worthy goals and challenges.strategies leveraging technology to achieve them.

2. Digital Citizen

Students cultivate and manage their digital identity reputation are aware of the permanence of their actions. The digital world. Engage in positive, safe, legal, and ethical behavior when using technology 

3. Knowledge Constructor

students build knowledge by actively exploring real-world issues and problems, developing ideas and theories and pursuing answers and solutions.

4. Innovative Designer

Students know and use a deliberate design process for generating ideas, testing theories, creating innovative artifacts or solving authentic problems.2

5. Computational Thinker

Computational thinker is the mental skill to apply concepts. methods, problem solving techniques, and logic reasoning, derived from computing and computer science. to solve problems in all areas, including our daily lives.

6. Creative Communicator

To communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms also it states in the pdf. “Use digital tools to connect with learners from a variety of backgrounds and cultures”.

7. Global Collaborator

Someone who uses collaboration tools.explore complex ideas or problems .multiple viewpoints.
