The Day Kennedy Yelled at the Ice Cream Woman 😠🍦

Part 1: The Ice Cream Truck Arrives

The ice cream truck rolled into the neighborhood playing its cheerful music.

Kids rushed toward it, excited for a cold treat.

But Kennedy was already having a rough day.

She marched right up to the window and said, "I want the biggest chocolate cone you have."

The ice cream woman smiled and nodded.

"Coming right up."

Part 2: The Tiny Cone

A minute later, she handed Kennedy a tiny cone.

Kennedy stared at it.

Then she stared at her.

Then she exploded.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

The whole line went silent.

"I SAID THE BIGGEST CONE! THIS LOOKS LIKE IT'S FOR AN ANT!"

The ice cream woman blinked.

"Oops."

Part 3: Kennedy Gets Madder

"Fine. I'll make a bigger one," said the ice cream woman.

She made a giant cone.

But just as she handed it to her, the top scoop slipped off.

SPLAT.

Right into the grass.

Kennedy's eyes got huge.

"YOU DROPPED MY ICE CREAM!"

"I know..."

"THEN WHY IS IT ON THE GROUND?"

Nobody in line wanted to be next.

Part 4: No More Patience

The ice cream woman rushed to make another cone.

This time she handed her vanilla ice cream.

Kennedy had ordered chocolate.

She threw her hands in the air.

"NO! NO! NO!"

She pointed at the cone.

"DOES THAT LOOK LIKE CHOCOLATE TO YOU?"

The ice cream woman looked down.

"...No."

"THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT!"

Part 5: Maximum Mad

The ice cream woman finally made a perfect chocolate cone.

Extra sprinkles.

Extra fudge.

Extra everything.

Kennedy reached for it.

Suddenly, a seagull swooped down.

SNATCH!

The bird stole the entire top scoop and flew away.

Kennedy yelled so loudly that the bird nearly dropped it.

"COME BACK HERE, YOU FEATHERED ICE-CREAM THIEF!"

Then she turned back to the ice cream woman.

"THIS IS THE WORST DAY EVER!"

Part 6: Kennedy Loses It

The ice cream man made one last cone.

Perfect chocolate.

Perfect sprinkles.

Perfect fudge.

Kennedy took one bite.

CRACK.

The cone broke in half.

The ice cream fell onto the sidewalk.

For three whole seconds, nobody moved.

Nobody spoke.

Then Kennedy shouted:

"ICE CREAM WOMAN! EVERY SINGLE THING HAS GONE WRONG TODAY!"

The ice cream woman slowly slid a giant sundae across the counter.

"Free."

Kennedy grabbed it and grumbled.

"Good. Because I'm STILL MAD."

The ice cream woman nodded.

The kids in line nodded.

Even the seagull looked nervous.

And Kennedy ate her sundae while staying very, very, VERY mad. 😠🍨

• Using _my  computer the merge cube and my ipad, I created  augmented reality because_i wanted to learn the basics of augmented reality.

• During this process, I learned _ how to code the bird to fly .

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because  you can only see it on a screen .

• A challenge I overcame on this project was _getting the cube to rotate while all the stuff stayed in place I was able to do it by _asking a friend.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the story. The reason why I would change it is because _ i want to try something new and fun.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the _Computer Programming, CTE program at Hastings High School.
