Using Cardboard, Hot glue, Ductape and marker, I created a boxing ring with people with its own name because it seemed unique and no one else thought of it.
During this process, I learned even in the middle of working on it we could make it better and think of more details to make it better and fix things .
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because we fixed things and used all of our resources as much as we could and thought of ways to make it better before we even glued stuff on.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make certian things from scratch like people and the rope around the ring. I was able to do it by testing things and gluing before.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how big we made it. The reason why I would change it is because it seemed smaller than all the other projects.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Product Design Engineer because they figure out how to make the projects come to life and are responsible for the whole product lifecycle.
