Class Standards and Design Thinking
Standards:
In this class, we will be using the Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies for Students (MITECS) also known as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards. For each standard, you will write a 3 to 5-sentence paragraph. Please use this link to create your paragraphs.
Empowered Learner is someone that can work hard at a goal or learn how to do something like riding a dirt bike or getting good grades .They can reflect whether or not they need to work harder on their goal and put more effort into your goal .They can choose the right materials to meet their goals . I can identify if I'm making achievements toward my goals .
I can acknowledge what or what not to put on social media or other networks. . I can explain that once something good or bad is put out on the internet it can not be deleted even if it says “ Successfully deleted’’ it is always going to be there. I can use the internet correctly. I can explain the difference between TMI or not TMI on the internet.
I can access browser history to find previous tabs . I can look for tools in advance for information. I can use different links, people and websites for my research. I can have on topic/ appropriate that helps with my research. I can investigate actual real world problems.
I can have conversation with other people not in our school to help understand adult problems.. I mean a global topic . i can ask real question about real discussion. I can think of real ideas for my research . I can stay focused so i dont get my ps5 taken so i can clock on fortnite in class.
I can use computer tools to present problems that I have solved. I can stay focused but finish my work .I can use technological tools to work through the design system. I can explain how computers use different patterns and process to sort through different stuff and things like sorting through a mail box for mail for different people.
I can find the best tool on my computer for an altogether group project.i can find the best online digital tool to others and to share my work with other people.i can find the best tool to my my work original and to not be a copy cat.
I can use tools on my computer to interact with other people on the internet.i can use computer tools to see a different perspective and understand better.i can learn about problems through computer skills.
