Using Cardboard, I created a marble maze because it was a somewhat simple thing to make and get to work with the time I had.
During this process, I learned how big the walls have to be for a marble to fit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I had to change the design multiple times before I was happyish with it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the exterior walls. I was able to do it by using ducktape on the sides.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the fact that some walls were to small for the marble to fit through. The reason why I would change it is because it stopped the marble from getting through.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in creating mazes.
