7P8 - Makey Makey

Using Makey makey, I created a playdough controller because I needed a new controller to play the snake game .

During this process, I learned how to use makey makey and how to use playdough as a controller to play a game.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I watched videos on makey makey to figure out how to use it correctly.

A challenge I overcame on this project was to watch videos on YouTube to figure out to work makey makey. I was able to do it by using makey makey to spell YouTube and watch.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change that I could use different materials other than Playdough. The reason why I would change it is because I want to use other materials.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in Digital Multimedia  because I designed a remote that would attach to things and would type letters, move, press.
