Planning Questions
Am I working by myself?
Yes I am.
What materials will I need?
Tinker cad, 3D printers, and my computer
What do I plan to create?
A pitchfork-fork!
What will be unique about it?
It will be a hybrid eating tool because sporks are useless.
I brainstormed ideas and tried to make a garbage truck
Finished brainstorming and got to work but i switched to a fork, i only got the handle this day.
I was absent today.
Made my pitch fork-fork!
I decided to make it a double sided utensil because spoorks are useless.
I added a butter knife and a straw!
I finished up and it will print shortly!
Using Tinker Cad, I created a hybrid eating utensil because I strongly believe that sporks are useless.
During this process, I learned how to 3D model!
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I over came challenges and used feedback from my peers to improve.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the scaling because it is very hard to make it big enough in that small area. I was able to do it by Resizing everything to make it fit more efficiently while being large enough.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the spoon. The reason why I would change it is because its more or less a bowl and not very spoon shaped.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in 3D Designing because I designed something to solve a problem in my life and that could possibly help others.
