for planning this Project I will be needing Carboard, Hot glue, Playdough, Sharpie, Toothpicks, Tape, scissors. the process of creating this Project Will be Really fun I think That I will really Enjoy it. My plan for making this project is I want to make the base and head of the cat including tail, paws, spots, ears, nose, whiskers, eyes, and mouth. I want to also give it claws I Think That the Unique qualities of this project will be The claws,
cat
dog
pizza maker
oven
fridge
puppet
Spider
monkey
arcade
Toy machine
Day One: On Day One I started Off with Creating the Torso/Body Of the Cat. I Did this By using Cardboard. I made It out of a Medium Size Boxed And than I wrapped it in Tape So it would All Stay Together. Than I Moved Onto the Head of The cat. I Did this by using a Smaller Box this time But than Doing the same thing I did with the torso, Wrapping it in tape. Than after I finished Both the Head and The body I than Glued the Head of the Cat to the Body. Than I Grabbed a Cutting Tool And Cut at the back of the body for the Hole of the Tail.
Day Two: on Day two That's When I Started To create the Tail, I did this By Using cardboard, and Again, Tape. I cut a cardboard Line Out of a Box I found And than Wrapped it In Tape. Than I Put the Cat tail Inside of the Line I made Into the torso Yesterday.
Day Three: On Day Three I than Decided to Make the Paws of the cat. I Didn't Fully have time to Create it All in This day But I did get some stuff done. But what I did do so far for today was Create 2 Front Paws By using Small Flattened out Squares of Cardboard Wrapped in Tape. I Hot glued them To the front Of the Torso On each Side.
Day 4: On Day 4 I Finished Making the Back paws. Which was Basically The same Thing I did with the front Just this time on the back Of the cat, Once this was All done I than Moved onto the Claws Of the Cat. I Did this By Cutting Up half of a Toothpick Than using Brown Sharpie To Color it in. Than I hot glued it to the Front of the Paws. After I did this I than Created the Ears of the cat. I did this By cutting up Small pieces of cardboard Into triangles. Than Wrapped it into a Small Piece of Tape. After I did this, I than Hot glued them to the top of the cats head, On each side/left and right. Than After I did All of this I than Took a Black Sharpie And started to add patterns All on the cat, Just to give it some Spots and stuff. I gave it eyes, a nose, and Whiskers.
Day 5: On Day 5, I decided to give the cat a Cookie Just for fun, I made the Cookie Out of Brown, And black Play dough. I took the Brown Play dough And made it into a circle, Than after I did this I Than Took the Black Play dough and created small circles to Hot glue On top of the cookies Base. Than I was Finished.
Using Cardboard I created A cat because I thought it would Be fun to build And too create it.
During this process, I learned How to Make something i never did before, And i learned new strategies.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I Decided What to build.
A challenge I overcame on this project was The paws. I was able to do it by Using toothpicks for the claws, and for the paws I used Carboard and Tape
Given a chance to do this again, I would change The Paws The reason why I would change it is because They are Badly made, I think that they could be smaller.
