7P8- Stop Motion

Reflection

• Using iMovie and iMotion, I created a 4 minute movie. The movie is about Sporky and a clay cactus becoming friends because the clay cactus was lonely and had no friends. Another reason we made that was because sometimes in real life you can have no friends or be lonely and then in a few moments a random person will come into your life then be the most special person in your life.

• During this process, I learned that you have to move quickly and already have it all figured out before you actually start your stop motion movie. I learned that you have to move quickly because if you don't move fast enough you will get objects you don't want in the film. Another reason you have to move quickly is because if you don't move quickly enough you will fall behind and will not finish in time.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because I made a unique movie and didn't copy another persons idea.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was staying on task. I was able to do it by moving to a different part of the room. Another way I overcame the challenge was by doing some of the work at home.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change is making more than one thing out of clay. The reason why I would change it is because the clay is hard to work with and can be sticky if its to warm. Another reason why I would change that is because the clay does not stick to different kinds of clay.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the digital media CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in motion designing.
