Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I will be working by myself
What materials will you need for your project?
A 3D printer
What is your plan to create in this project?
I will create a plant holder
What unique qualities will your project have?
It won't be plain and it will help me out
Here is a picture of my project in tinkercad. You can see that it is hollow because that is where I would put a succulent or any plant. ( Day 2 )
Here is a picture of my project and as you can see I added a heart and and on the heart it says TO:ME because Mr.Renner said we needed some design. (Day 3)
Daily Log
Day 1: I did my planning questions and list of 25 things.
Day 2: I started building my project and put a picture of it being created.
Day 3: Mr. Renner said the design had to have some detail so add a bit
Day 4: I changed the "To: ME" to "Happy Thoughts." .
Day 5: I changed my project to inches from millimeter.
Day 6: Was not here.
Day 7: Was not here.
Day 8: Sent Mr. Renner my project so he can print it
This is a picture of my project of the words being changed to: "Happy Thoughts"
(Day 4)
In this project I had to change the grid to millimeters to inches. As you can see it was very hard. But I got it back to normal. (Day 5)
Using Tinkercad, I created a cute little plant holder because it solves my problem of having somewhere to plant a succulent.
During this process, I learned a lot about the program Tinkercad and how the graphing works.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I have high self-efficacy, a positive learner identity, emotional intelligence, social awareness and the skills and know-how to take on worthy goals and challenges .
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the millimeters to inches. I was able to do it by asking a friend where the button was on how to change it then I had to rearrange the shapes.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change on how small the project had to be. The reason why I would change it is because I think it would look better a bit bigger.
