Class Standards and Design Thinking

Standards:

In this class, we will be using the Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies for Students (MITECS) also known as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards.  For each standard, you will write a 3 to 5 sentence paragraph.  Please use this link to create your paragraphs. 

1. Empowered Learner

My learning goal is to get all  A and B. I remember that semester I got all A and B. I have been nice/ annoying to everybody. I'm trying to be less annoying. I took three steps to get that goal, number 1, determination, number 2, focus on school work, and number 3, the spirit to get there.

2. Digital Citizen

I can responsibly choose what to share on social networks like not sharing any information. I don't do anything hastey on the network like my friends. I'm more smarter on the network. All I do is play games such as high on life. I can explain how I know that digital content is permanent and cannot be deleted.

3. Knowledge Constructor

I can ask questions about real world issues like the cold war. And civil war. I can use the internet to find  answers to my questions such as who's the first president and such.

4. Innovative Designer

I can brainstorm ideas for the questions I have such as what happens if I combine water and milk. I can stay with a task until it is completed, such as this assignment that I'm doing right now. The reason why I think this is important is because it's about creatively and designer.

5. Computational Thinker

I can use technology tools to create models such as my storm trooper lay out at home. I can define and describe algorithms. I thought this was good to pick because it's all about technology.

6. Creative Communicator

I can identify the best digital tool to create an original work like a website that I try to make. And I wanted to make something today. I did not have time. I can use parts that are hard to use.

7. Global Collaborator

I can use a digital tool to interact with other tools to make something like a toy car or monster truck. I can use digital tools to develop an understanding of different perspectives. Like dirt bikes.

You will need to Google “Design Thinking” then write a 3 to 5 sentence paragraph showing your understanding of the concept.

“Design Thinking”

Design Thinking is problem solving and thinking out of box. It's like thinking of a solution to a problem like taking cookies. I think these two sentence oar good because they talk all about what it is.
