How will the online conference be formatted?

How do I get to the conference? Where's the link?

• Click here to visit the NASA Region 3 Conference on Hopin (officially begins March 18th at 6pm)

I don't understand, why can't I get into the conference?

• The conference will officially open 5 minutes before the first scheduled events (6pm) on March 18th, 2021.

How do I use the platform? What do I do to view performances/lectures/masterclasses etc?

• First, you must register for the conference by clicking here.

  • If you're a NASA member reach out to nmertens@hastings.edu to get your free ticket.

• Click here to learn how to use the Hopin platform as an attendee.

• Browsers that work best are:

  • Desktop computers - Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox

  • Mobile Devices -

    • Android -- Google Chrome,

    • iOS & iPadOS (Apple) -- Safari

• If the video isn't playing, try refreshing the page.

I bought a ticket for the NASA conference but I can't buy more. What do I do?

• Unfortunately, Hopin isn't designed to allow people to buy more than one ticket. If you'd like to attend another day you can register another email address to buy an additional ticket for a different day.

I will be speaking/performing live on SESSIONS section. How do I set that up? What do I do?

1. Create a Hopin account - you should have received an email with a link to register for the conference.

2. When the event is live and it's time for you to appear on a Session, head to the Sessions tab and find the Session you'll be speaking in. Make sure you are presenting on a desktop/laptop computer. Tablets do not work. We recommend using Chrome and Firefox browsers on your computer.

3. Click Share Audio and Video at center of the Session screen

4. If you haven't allowed access to your camera or mic in the event, you will be prompted to do so at this time

5. Once you see yourself on screen, you're live to your audience

6. If it is a Moderated session, you will see attendees asking to join at the bottom of the video in the Moderator Panel. You get to choose who comes up on screen with you there.

I'm playing in a masterclass, what I do I do?

1. Create a Hopin account - you should have received an email with a link to register for the conference. If you did not, email nmertens@hastings.edu

2. Submit video of your performance to nmertens@hastings.edu

3. Be ready to play during your slotted time after your performance video is aired! Make sure you are presenting on a desktop/laptop computer. Tablets do not work. We recommend using Chrome and Firefox browsers on your computer.
