iPad update - streamlining our apps
To improve device performance and save storage space, we have moved several less-frequently used iPad apps to the Jamf Self Service app.
What this means for you: If you notice an app is missing from your device, it hasn't been removed permanently. It is now available for "on-demand" download. This keeps your device running faster by only installing what you need.
How to get your apps:
Open the Self Service app on your device.
Browse or search for the application you need.
Click Install.
The app will download and install in the background immediately.
Your iPad storage should be no more than 90% full
Please keep an eye on the amount of space you are using on your iPad and delete any unwanted personal apps. Keep at least 10% of storage space free so you can install updates and any apps your teachers want you to use.
Free sanitary products for students
Access to essential sanitary products should never be a barrier to education, dignity, or wellbeing.
To support our school community, we are offering a range of free period products including pads, tampons, period pants, and Tampax — available for anyone who needs them.
Discreet. No questions asked.
How to collect:
Visit Room B31 before school or during break times
Or speak directly with Ms. Southee
Weekly Collection Point:
Tuesdays after school in B31
Feel free to drop in and collect what you need.
Stay Safe Online – Don’t Share Your Passwords!
Your school login is just like your house key – it keeps your digital life safe and private. Sharing your password with friends (even your best friend!) is never a good idea. Here's why:
Someone could change your work or delete it.
They might send messages pretending to be you.
You could get in trouble for things you didn’t do.
Cyber Safety Tips:
Keep your passwords secret – don’t even tell your friends.
Use a strong password that’s hard to guess (not “123456” or “football”).
Log out when you’re finished, especially on shared devices.
If you think someone else knows your password – tell a teacher or IT straight away.
Need to change your password?
Follow the simple steps here:
https://sites.google.com/haslingdenhigh.com/hhsportal/it-support/passwords
Let’s all do our part to keep our school accounts safe!
A drop in session for students on a Tuesday & Wednesday morning 8 - 8.15am is available in G3 (near Student Services) and will be for general queries and help with any questions, school work or revision.
We look forward to seeing you
