Students will engage in English Language Arts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers will post all activities to their Google Classroom page by 8:30 a.m. The goal for all of our students is to sustain and strengthen their reading and writing skills during this time. Each platform students will be using is adaptive in nature, which allows students to work at their current level of development and progress at the pace that best meets their individual learning needs. Through the weekly review of student performance reports, teachers will monitor student progress and provide feedback as needed to ensure students continue to engage in the content, break down any barriers and support students forward progress.

ELA Expectations
Students are expected to log in, using CLEVER, and engage with Reading Plus each Tuesday and Thursday for 30 minutes per session.
Students are expected to log in and engage with No Red Ink each Tuesday and Journal write on Thursday for their writing lessons (roughly 15 minutes each session). Teachers will communicate writing prompts through Google Classroom.
Students are encouraged to read for pleasure for 20-30 minutes everyday and update their Reading Tracker. All students have access to EPIC - which has access to thousands of free online books and other free reading resources (check your teachers Google Classroom page for details).
