Get excited about learning with classroom escape room challenges! Students will work collaboratively with partners or in groups to solve ELA and math challenges and find clues in order to escape the given scenario.

coding for all

Elementary students will learn to code through a game-based environment by solving coding challenges. Middle school students will learn to code (or practice their coding skills) with a fun Python-based program.  Drag and drop or write your own code.  Continue at home!  This class comes with a year- long subscription to the coding programs.

Harvest Ridge is very excited to offer a Spring Art Enrichment series!  Krista Hilmen with Little Art Barn is offering a 6-week art class on our Home Study campus.  Students will complete 3-4 works of art to bring home.  Spots are limited so sign up today!

Harvest Ridge Enrichment Sessions

Harvest Ridge is excited to offer Enrichment opportunities for all of our students! Each session has three classes that students sign up for which are split into grade-level groups.  Each session will be capped at 60 students, with a maximum of 20 in each group.  A waiting list will be started for students signing up after the session fills.

With the exception of Session 1, classes are held on Fridays on the Harvest Ridge Home Study Campus located at 925 Kentucky Greens Way, Newcastle.  Classes run from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, including snack/recess breaks.  Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and snacks for the break.

Costs for each session and session details are listed below.  Home Study students may use Home Study funds to cover the cost of the classes.  Payment for classes must be received as of the first session through cash, check made out to HRCCS, or Zelle.

Join Sara Mattia on her family farm in Penryn where

children will learn all about agriculture & nature

through lessons, hands-on activities, crafts, games &

animal encounters.  Subjects include Ecosystems, Biospheres, Worms, Gardening, Alpacas, Goats, STEAM, Chickens, Equines, Pigs, Predators, Birds, Frogs, Flowers & more.  Check out the flyer HEREMaximum of 15 students.

Hansel & Gretel The Musical

Students will be cast in the musical Hansel & Gretel and will culminate their session with a performance for family and friends at the McLaughlin Theater.  Please note that families will be providing simple costumes with guidance from the director. Open to students in grades 1st through 5th grade.  Maximum of 30 students for this session.

Kinder Create Birds Class will be split into 4 segments: art, reading aloud from living books, crafts, and a level appropriate writing exercise - all based around the topic of birds. Little ones will enjoy learning about nests, feathers, eggs, and all things birds as they listen to stories, craft and create!  Maximum 15 students.

Learn to sew using a sewing machine in this six week beginner sewing machine class. We will learn the basics of sewing on a machine while creating a variety of projects. You will be amazed at what your students can learn and create in six short weeks!  Maximum of 11 students.

Explore the world of paper making, book binding and stamp carving in this six week class. This class will build on itself as we begin by creating our own paper from which we will create a book and then carve our own stamps to print the cover of our book.   Maximum of 20 students.
