My name is Ryan Nix and I have been teaching music for 12 years in public schools. I am a graduate of Hartselle High School, Class of 2000. I attended the University of North Alabama where I studied percussion and music education. After graduating from UNA with a Bachelor's in Music Education, I taught as a band director in Hartselle City Schools, Spain Park High School, Rock Quarry and Southview Middle Schools in Tuscaloosa City Schools, Escambia County Florida Schools, Athens City Schools and have now returned home to Hartselle. My wife Kathryn and I have two children, Griffin and Claire. Outside of the classroom and band room, I enjoy spending time with my family, working on home improvement projects, and traveling.
