All About Mrs. White

Hi there! I'm Mrs. Brittany White, and I'm thrilled to be your 7th grade counselor at Hartselle Junior High School! Before becoming a counselor, I taught 12th grade English at Hartselle High School from 2018 to 2025. 

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a focus on English and Language Arts from the University of North Alabama in 2012. Then, I went back to school and completed my Master's degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama in 2023. My goal is to help students succeed inside and outside of the classroom.

Outside of school, my life is wonderfully busy! My husband and I have two daughters, Sadie and Stella, who keep us on our toes. You'll often find me cheering on Sadie at her sporting events! I enjoy reading, traveling to new places, and working on DIY projects around our house. There's always something exciting happening at the White household!

All About Mrs. Praytor

Family- My husband, Matt, is a Hartselle Alumnus and currently serves as the ISI teacher and Offensive Coordinator at Hartselle High School.

Our daughter, Maggie, graduated from Hartselle High School in 2023 and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Respiratory Care at the University of North Alabama. 

Background/Education- I was born and raised in the Navy town of Millington which is just outside of Memphis, Tennessee. So, of course I'm a fan of Elvis, BBQ, UM, and the Blue Angels.

I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Development from THE University of Alabama, a Master's degree in School Counseling from Freed Hardeman University, and an EdS in School Counseling from THE University of Alabama.  

Favorite Things- I love sports!! Particularly: Rodeo, Memphis Basketball, St. Louis Cardinal baseball and ALL things Alabama (Roll Tide).  However, my ABSOLUTE favorite is Friday Night football.

I also love a good book, beach/lake days, and any time I get to spend with family and friends.
