Extreme or repeated violations of school conduct/classroom rules are subject to discipline in the form of detention. This detention will take place in my classroom and students will have no access to personal electronic devices. I will take this opportunity to reteach the skills the student failed to demonstrate. Students will be expected to bring homework and a free-reading book. In such circumstances, parents will be notified ahead of time to arrange transportation for students. 

Please see this excerpt from the student handbook regarding detention: 

"Violations of some conduct rules will result in disciplinary action such as the loss of privileges or detention with the teacher/principal to make up instructional time that was lost. (These may include but are not limited to disrespect, refusal to comply with requests or follow directions, swearing or using profanity.)"
