Hello! My name is Erica Meendering. I am excited to begin my ninth year teaching at HMS Middle School! Although I grew up in Spencer, my parents both graduated from HMS! I am an avid reader who loves traveling and spending time outside.
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Elementary Education and endorsements in Mathematics (K-8), Reading (K-8), and Language Arts (K-8). I have my M.A. in Elementary Education from Morningside College. Not only am I one of the fifth-grade advisors, but I will also continue teaching math to all fifth and sixth-graders this year.
