Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! My name is Katie Toering. I teach Intro to Social Studies, US History II, History Through Film and World War II. This is my 6th year of teaching.  If you need to reach out to me with questions or concerns at any point throughout the year please feel free to email me : ktoering@hartley-ms.k12.ia.us.

I attended Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City to receive my AA.  From there, I transferred to Northwestern in Orange City where I received my BA in Secondary Education and History. I live in Sheldon . I have 5 children.   With my time I like to attend the activites of my kids, read, spend time with my family especially at the lake (we are frequent visitors to Lake of the Ozarks),  shopping, and watch movies.
