Get Ahead in Psychology

Hi, I'm Ashleigh! I have a degree in Psychology and have been teaching at Hartlepool Sixth Form for over 15 years. My favourite aspects of the course are:

• Criminal psychology; why do some people commit horrendous crimes, yet others don't? Is it their upbringing, or biology, or a bit of both?

• Social psychology; how does our culture and our role models affect our behaviour?

• Child development; how are children's brains different to adult's brains? How do babies perceive the world around them? 

My top three psychologist are Philip Zimbardo, Anna Freud and Albert Bandura. I have a slight obsession with stationary, and enjoy a nice cup of tea (preferably in a nice mug)!
