In all, I am “Nana” to eight grandchildren.(Imagine that!) Our team is dedicated to empowering each child to find the joy and passion in learning. Mrs. Lorenz

Mrs. Marshall: I grew up in the Durham, NH area attending undergrad and graduate school at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). At an early age, I was diagnosed with a learning disability and was fortunate to have had a wonderfully supportive family and educational community that gave me the foundational skills, tools, knowledge of self, strengths and weaknesses, and self-advocacy to achieve educational and personal success. My goal has always been to work within the schools and empower students in the ways that I was empowered throughout my own educational career. When I began at university, I went to study Early Childhood Education, yet transferred my junior year into the Occupational Therapy program as the profession is a wonderful blend of the medical and educational model. While attending UNH, I was involved in the New Hampshire Outing Club, going for hikes and paddle trips on the weekends, and eventually became a teacher’s assistant within the Outdoor Education program. I continue to enjoy my outdoor hobbies. After graduating, I completed a grant program for clinicians in Assistive Technology and Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Later, I completed a graduate certificate program in Assistive Technology. I have been a pediatric practitioner in the state of Vermont since 2011, and have provided many in-service trainings on assistive technology and sensory integration practices for use in the classroom setting. I enjoy working within a transdisciplinary model of approach. I love working with children, families, and educational teams, to provide recommendations and therapeutic activities that encourage greater functional participation for students. I joined the Hartford School District team of dedicated pediatric practitioners and teachers in the Fall of 2016.
