Meet the Coaches

HEAD COACH AND ADVISOR:  JAYME FECHTELKOTTER  

Jayme is a proud West Ranch alumni that graduated in 2013! She began gymnastics at 3 years old and competed until she was in 8th grade. She then transitioned into her cheerleading career at SCV All Stars where she competed on their first ever leave 5 team. They competed at the cheerleading Worlds and placed 13th in their division. Jayme then began high school at West Ranch and competed on their first competition team. Her senior year she became varsity captain and helped coach freshmen. After high school she attended the University of Arizona became an alternate for UCA and coached gymnastics at a local gym in Tucson. Once she graduated from college, she coached at Canyon High School for one year, which then lead her back to home to coach at West Ranch. 

In her spare time she runs a hair business and enjoys being with her pugs and husband! She loves crafting and is always creating content for Instagram!

ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH: NINA HERNAADEZ

Hi my name is Nina! I grew up in local all-star cheer and went on to cheer for SDSU and California Allstars, where I placed in the top 3 at Worlds with Reckless and Lady Bullets. My highest tumbling skill included an Arabian through to double! I love to shop, and TikTok is my go-to spot for finding new trends! A fun fact about me is that I work at Rancho Pico and was vegan for 8 years. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and being a part of your cheer journey!
