Class overview

This course introduces students to the fundamental skills of sewing and working with fabric. Students will learn both hand and machine sewing techniques, how to read basic patterns, and how to use sewing tools and equipment safely and effectively. By the end of the course, students will complete several projects that put their skills to work in fun and creative ways. Most students will take sewing and costuming for the entire school year.

STUDENTS WITH PRIOR EXPERIENCE WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK ON MORE ADVANCED PROJECTS
