Fun Facts About Mrs. Burns: I have two beautiful children. My son works for Burbank Police Dept. and before that he was a professional baseball player. He played for the Minnesota Twins and was on scholarship at UC Santa Barbara. My daughter is graduating from San Diego State this year where she played volleyball on scholarship. I was lucky enough to be able to do my student teaching in England. This is when I was bit by the travel bug. I enjoy discovering new and exciting places all over the world. Last summer I spent a month in Greece with Mrs. Dos and explored the most beautiful islands. Next summer we will pick another glorious country to explore. I love all types of music and yes I may be old but I still enjoy water skiing and can actually get up on a single ski.
Fun Facts About Mrs. Steinman: I love to dance, but I have not yet done a Tik Tok because I hate being on camera! My favorite song right now is "Blinding Light" by The Weeknd. When I was in jr. high I wanted to be a dolphin trainer at Sea World. I love cookies-any kind-yep, even Oatmeal with raisins. I believe Lacrosse is the best sport ever! I love hiking the local trails. My favorite book genre is historical fiction. I taught English for several years, but History is my favorite subject. If I could have any super power, I would love to be able to read people's minds....mWahahaha! My dream car is a restored baby Bronco from the 70's, but I would take a new one too! My go-to show to make me laugh is The Goldbergs. I think jr. high students are the coolest.
Fun Facts About Mrs. Racina: My favorite place to be is at the beach. I enjoy spending time with my family and my pets. I have 2 dogs and I am the co- advisor for KLAWS (Kids Loving Animals Within Shelters) which helps homeless animals find forever homes. A club right here at Rio. Before I was a counselor I was a teacher and also worked in law enforcement. My favorite TV shows are The Office and Parks and Rec. You can find me on campus everywhere.
