About Me

Hi friends! I am so excited to be your teacher this year!

I am a young teacher and I love sharing my story in hope to inspire you!

I grew up in SCV and I have 2 younger brothers. Kyle is 21 and is currently serving in the US Coast Guard and Evan is 18 and an Electrician Apprentice. I graduated from Saugus High School in 2015 and completed 30 units of College of the Canyons credit during that time. I became a preschool teacher during my senior year right when I turned 18. I continued to take COC classes, along with my Bachelor degree classes. At one point, I took 7 college classes at a time! I continued working as a preschool teacher and going to school. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Educational Studies from the University of La Verne in 2017, I was only 19 years old! I kept being a preschool teacher and added another job- Autism Behavioral Therapist. In the fall of 2017, I added a 3rd job, as a substitute teacher! I subbed for Castaic, Newhall, Saugus, and William S. Hart school districts, in all grades Kindergarten through 12th. I was also going to school to attain my teaching credentials and Masters degree. In December 2017, I got my dream job- being a teacher! I was only 20 years old and started right before winter break as a 6th grade teacher in Lancaster, about an hour away from SCV. I loved my new job and taught 3rd grade summer school in the summer. Then in the fall of 2018, I changed schools and moved to 4th grade. I taught 4th grade all year and completed my Masters degree in Education Special Emphasis; Teaching Gifted Learners, as well as my Multiple Subject and English teaching credentials. I was now completed certified and ready to work closer to home!

I was super lucky to get hired by William S. Hart over the summer and moved my classroom to my DREAM school, Rio Norte Junior High! 2019-2020 was my first year as a Riverhawk, I taught 7th grade English and 7th/8th Grade Achieve! I also served as the EL Coordinator and taught After School Intervention. 2020 Summer, I taught ELD Newcomers at Hart High School. This school year, 2020-2021 I am teaching 7th grade English, 7th/8th grade Achieve, and a new class... Journalism! I am a very hard worker and I am ready to give you my very best this year! As a younger teacher, I make sure to make activities as fun and engaging as possible! I also strive to make everything we do purposeful! I hope to become your "favorite teacher" and make this year one to remember!
