IMPORTANT SENIOR MESSAGE

Senior activities are for graduating seniors only. Any questions regarding eligibility to participate in activities should be directed to the student's counselor. If you have any questions regarding senior activities, please contact Mrs. Hanks or Mrs. Schwartz in the ASB Office, 661-888-6288 x 241 or x 242.

School rules and regulations are expected to be followed at all senior activities. A student possessing any controlled substance or being under the influence at any senior event will be suspended from school and may be excluded from subsequent activities, including the graduation ceremony. Appropriate behavior and regular school attendance is expected in order to participate in senior activities.

For information about cords, stoles, and medals, contact your club or group advisor 2nd semester.

The cap and gown are to be worn for the graduation ceremony.  Every effort should be made to have your gown neatly pressed before it is worn to graduation.

SENIOR YEARBOOK INFORMATION

All senior portraits must be taken by O'Connor Photography in order to be included in the yearbook.  It is your responsibility to complete the appointment and select a final yearbook photo by October 17th.  Please contact them at 661-200-9636 today.

SENIOR CASUAL PANORAMIC PICTURE

Date: Wednesday, December 3rd

Time: 10:10am-10:25am (Advisory)

Place: Large Gym

All seniors are invited to the gym during advisory on Wednesday, December 3rd, to be part of the casual senior panoramic picture that will be featured in this year's school yearbook.

DIPLOMA NAMES

Diploma names will be printed as they appear in Infinite Campus and may not match your birth certificate if another preferred name is used.  Please check your full name, including the middle name, as it appears in Infinite Campus and let us know in writing if you would like any changes to be made.

SENIOR CONTRACT MEETING

Date: Tuesday, April 28th   11:30am-12:15pm

Place: Performing Arts Center

All seniors will attend a meeting with school administration to discuss the senior contract and appropriate behavior at all senior activities/graduation.

SENIOR HONOR SCHOLARS-TRANSCRIPT SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Upon the completion of the 7th semester, students who have earned a cumulative, weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher, are considered Senior Honor Scholars.  Senior Honor Scholars will be recognized for their outstanding academic achievement by receiving an honor stole.  Stoles will be given to Senior Honor Scholars at senior awards night. All transcripts from classes taken outside of Castaic HS must be submitted to the school registrar, Lizeth Ordonez, by February 12th to be considered for any senior academic honors, including honor scholar status.

JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM

Date: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026

Time: 7 P.M. - 11 P.M., Arrival at Castaic HS 5pm

Place: LA Center Studios

This year's prom will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 7pm-11pm at LA Center Studios. This is a formal dinner/dance and formal attire is required. Prom tickets will go on sale in Mid-March. More details will come from ASB as they are available.

SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT

Date: Tuesday, May 12th, 2026

Time: 6:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. , Invited Seniors Arrive at 6:00 P.M.

Place: Coyote Bowl

Castaic HS Senior Awards Night will recognize senior students who have received special awards, honors, and scholarships.  This event is by invitation only. Those who are selected will be notified in early May. Senior Awards Night is a dignified event and students should dress accordingly.  Seniors should arrive NO LATER THAN 6:00 p.m. for this event.

SENIOR SUNSET

Date: Monday, May 18th

Time: 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Place: Football Field

The Senior Sunset will occur on the main football field. A catered dinner is included with your senior VIP package or available for purchase for non-VIPs (pre-purchase required from the ASB store). We will have fun games, photo opportunities, and music so don't miss out! If you purchased a yearbook in advance, you will get it at the event to get signatures from your fellow Seniors (permitting no delivery delays). 

SENIOR SEND-OFF RALLY

Date: Tuesday, May 19th

Time: Rally Schedule

Place: Gymnasium

All seniors should join us in the gym as the student body wishes the graduating class well. We will be on a rally schedule and will feature performances by numerous student groups. The rally will conclude with a tribute video to the senior class.

SENIOR FINALS

Senior Finals will take place on May 2oth and 21st. Students will follow the regular bell schedule for these two days. The last official day of classes for seniors is Thursday, May 21st.

SENIOR MEETING/CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION

Date: Wednesday, May 27th, 2026

Time: 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

Place: Castaic HS Performing Arts Center

This is a MANDATORY informational meeting for all seniors. Those who do not attend will not participate in the graduation ceremony.

This meeting will discuss the traditions, protocols, and expectations regarding graduation. 

To participate in graduation and receive your cap & gown, you must sign and return the graduation participation agreement at the conclusion of the senior meeting. Please stop by the Assistant Principal's Office if you need another copy of the graduation participation agreement. Caps & gowns will be distributed immediately following the senior meeting inside ASB.

SENIOR PANORAMIC PICTURE

Date: Wednesday, May 27th, 2026

Time: ~11:30AM

Place: Coyote Bowl

Immediately following cap & gown distribution, an 8" x 24" color panoramic picture will be taken in the Coyote Bowl of the entire senior class dressed in caps and gowns. The photo is included for those who purchased a senior VIP package or available for purchase in ASB for all others. Pictures will be available for pickup at Castaic High School starting in July.

GRAD NIGHT 

Date: Friday, May 29th, 2026

Time: 3:00pm-1:00am

Place: Universal Studios Hollywood

Cost:     TBD

The 2026 Senior Grad Night will once again take place at the Universal Studios Hollywood Grad Bash. All students attending must arrive at Castaic HS no later than 3:30pm and the buses will depart at 4pm. Tickets will go on sale after Spring Break in ASB. Tickets are included in the Senior VIP Pack or available for sale for all others. Included in the price is your ticket to Universal and school bus transportation to and from the park. All students attending, must use the transportation provided by the school to and from Universal Studios. Attendance is limited to only graduating Castaic HS Seniors. Guests are not allowed. 

DECORATING YOUR CAPS 

Yes, students can decorate their caps. Decorations must meet school dress-code policy and may not be three-dimensional. The typical dimensions of a graduation cap are 9.5"x9.5". Gowns may not be altered in any way and must be completely zipped for the entirety of the graduation ceremony.

LIBRARY-TEXTBOOK CLEARANCE/DELINQUENCIES 

Seniors must have their textbooks and library books returned to the library by Friday, May 15th, at 3pm to avoid being fined. All fines for damaged, lost, and overdue books must be paid prior to students being given their diploma. All fines can be paid in either the library or in ASB.

TRANSCRIPTS

Seniors are responsible for requesting final transcripts for any college or university.  It is recommended that requests be submitted to the Registrar’s Office before Friday, May 29th.  Transcripts will be mailed by June 26th.  Final transcripts will be issued only if delinquencies are cleared.
