Congratulations! As a prospective member of the Arroyo Seco ASB class, you have declared yourself to be a concerned student who is willing to give his/her time to help create the best experience possible for students at our school. We applaud your willingness to participate in student government. Good luck!
Qualities of an ASB Member:
We are looking for students who –
Make time for ASB and see ASB as a priority.
Have a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
Are helpful to others and work hard.
Are team players.
Requirements for holding/maintaining ASB Membership:
Candidates must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA with no D’s or F’s during the quarters the candidate is enrolled in ASB class.
Candidates must maintain high personal, academic, and behavioral standards both off and on campus. They should not have N’s or U’s in citizenship and should not have a discipline file.
Students who would like to be members of ASB should be available and willing to meet before school, after school, during lunch, and nutrition when needed for ASB activities.
Must be able to attend the ASB Team Building Training on August 2nd. Do not apply if you are unable to attend that day.
Selection Process:
1. The candidate must submit a complete application on time. To be considered for the class, students must submit their application by 9 pm on Wednesday, May 1st. Any applications received after that time will not be considered.
2. Student will provide their teacher(s) with a link to the teacher evaluation. Please follow up with your teachers to ensure they have completed the evaluation. Applications received without teacher evaluations will not be considered.

3. The Advisor and other teachers and/or administrators will review applications and teacher evaluation forms and assign scores.
4. Student records will be checked.
5. Students who successfully pass the criteria on paper will be notified via email of the date of their individual interview and a link to sign up for an interview time slot. More information will be provided to those who are selected for an interview.
6. Students will be ranked highest to lowest, and the top students will be offered a position in the ASB class. If a student declines, the position will be offered to the next student in line.
7. The list of ASB students for the 2024-2025 school year will be listed on this website on May 31, 2024, at 12 PM.
