Year 7 learners recently took part in a range of activities focused on teamwork, communication, and leadership, led by our Year 12 BTEC Business students. This provided a valuable opportunity for younger learners to develop key skills in a supportive environment, while Year 12 students were able to apply their business knowledge in a real and meaningful context.

Our school library marked the birthday of William Shakespeare with a creative and engaging display featuring his most famous works. Learners were invited to explore his plays and discover a range of interesting facts, including his role as both a writer and actor, performances for royalty, and the story of the Globe Theatre. The display encouraged learners to learn more about Shakespeare’s life and legacy, sparking curiosity and a deeper interest in classic literature.

Year 10 learners enjoyed a well-deserved trip to Thorpe Park, recognising their hard work and positive engagement this year. The visit gave learners the opportunity to spend time together outside the classroom, enjoy the rides, and celebrate their efforts in a relaxed and rewarding setting.

🎯 Our Cadets took part in their first rifle training session, trying something new while wearing their cadet uniform. They showed real focus, teamwork, and a positive attitude throughout. A great first experience and a strong start to their training journey.

Year 10 learners visited the Museum of Brands, exploring the exhibits and taking part in a creative challenge to design the best smoothie and branding.
Working in teams, they discovered how products are marketed, drew inspiration from the museum displays, and brought their own ideas to life. They then competed to create the most eye-catching and original concept. A fun and engaging way to learn about branding and design!

Year 7-9 Bristol: London Sightseeing
Our Year 7–9 Bristol group enjoyed an exciting visit to London, with many learners experiencing the capital for the very first time. The trip gave them the opportunity to see key landmarks, explore the city, and build confidence in travelling and learning beyond the classroom. It was a memorable experience and a fantastic chance to broaden horizons and create new experiences together.

Italian Language Trip to Sicilian Fest
Learners studying Italian had the exciting opportunity to visit Sicily Fest, where they immersed themselves in Italian culture, food, and language. The visit allowed them to practise their language skills in a real-world setting while experiencing traditional music, cuisine, and cultural activities. It was a fantastic way to bring classroom learning to life and deepen their understanding of Italian culture.

Visit to KPMG Canary Wharf
Learners recently visited KPMG to take part in an engaging careers workshop. During the session, they explored different career pathways, discussed their future ambitions, and had the opportunity to ask questions about the world of work. The visit gave learners valuable insight into a range of careers and encouraged them to think about their goals and aspirations for the future.

With summer here and the sun shining, it’s the perfect time for a fresh start 🌞
Your child’s co-curricular timetable is getting a summer refresh, with even more opportunities to get involved. From sport and fitness in the sunshine, to creative activities, games clubs, academic support and wellbeing spaces, there are plenty of ways for learners to take part before school, during breaks and after school.

We encourage all learners to explore what’s on offer and make the most of these exciting summer opportunities.
Please make sure that your child has the correct school uniform.
All children are expected to wear the complete Harrow High School, which includes the navy v-neck jumper for everyday and the navy tracksuit top for PE. Childen should not wear their navy v-neck jumper with their PE kit.
Those that are not wear the school jumper or tracksuit top will be asked to correct it.
Please also send your child with a water bottle during very hot weather.
