The Year 11 graduation was a fantastic event, filled with a real sense of achievement and pride. It was wonderful to see the hall packed with families as our learners were called up to collect their certificates, marking the official end of their hard work and exams.
The highlight of the presentation was a look-back video showing how much the year group has changed over time. Seeing their journey from their first days in Year 7 to the young adults they are today brought plenty of laughs and a lot of fond memories. Thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to support the learners and celebrate their time with us.

Our History learners recently took part in an educational visit to France, bringing their classroom learning to life by exploring key First World War sites, including Vimy Ridge, Lochnagar Crater, Newfoundland Memorial Park, the Thiepval Memorial and Visitor Centre, and the Ulster Tower Memorial. Learners reflected on the sacrifices made during the war while developing a deeper understanding of the events they study in History. The trip also gave learners the opportunity to experience French culture and enjoy time at Fort-Mahon-Plage, creating lasting memories beyond the classroom.
Year 10 Spanish learners visited the National Gallery for an inspiring day exploring world-famous artworks and deepening their cultural understanding. A fantastic opportunity to bring classroom learning to life through real-world experience.

As we prepare for the new school year, please ensure your child has the correct Harrow High School uniform.
All students are expected to wear full school uniform every day. All students are required to own and wear both official outer layers:
Navy v-neck jumper with school logo for standard school days
Navy tracksuit top with school logo for PE days
Please note that the V-neck jumper should not be worn with the PE kit.
Students who arrive without the correct jumper or tracksuit top will be asked to correct their uniform or may be sent home to change.
If you need any clarification or assistance, please contact the school office. We also stock a range of donated 'preloved' jumpers and tracksuit tops for families who may need them.
Please make sure that all uniform items are clearly labelled with your child's name.
Uniform is available from Pullens, 48-50 Church Road, Stanmore, HA7 4AH. You can also order them online at www.uniform4kids.com but please order early to allow time for delivery.
Year 10 Brighton Trip
Our Geography learners enjoyed an educational visit to Brighton Beach, where they explored a range of coastal features and investigated how natural processes shape the coastline. The trip allowed learners to apply their classroom knowledge through fieldwork, observe coastal management strategies in action and develop a greater understanding of the dynamic coastal environment. Alongside their studies, learners also enjoyed experiencing one of the UK's most iconic seaside destinations with their peers.
Selected Year 9 Spanish learners took part in a reward trip to the British Council in London to watch a Spanish-language film screening 🎬
Learners were chosen for their excellent performance in Spanish, positive behaviour, and consistent homework completion throughout the year. The visit provided an immersive cultural experience, helping them deepen their understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures through cinema.

Penpal Club: Letter Together
Our Letter Together Pen Pal Club has been a valued part of Harrow High School's co-curricular programme for the past three years and is looking forward to continuing into its fourth year.
Led by Ms Ortega, the club gives learners the opportunity to exchange letters with students of a similar age at IES Tamujal in Badajoz, Spain. Through their letters, learners develop their language skills, gain an insight into Spanish culture and everyday life, and build meaningful international connections.
A fantastic opportunity to bring language learning beyond the classroom and celebrate cultural exchange. 🌍✍️

This outstanding project was created as part of the GCSE History topic Opposition and Conformity in Nazi Germany. Students were challenged to present their understanding of the topic in a creative and engaging way, and these learners went far beyond the original brief.
The model uses a church as its central focus, with the two sides representing the different responses of religious groups and individuals to Nazi rule: those who conformed to and supported the Nazis, and those who chose to oppose them. Through this visual contrast, the project effectively demonstrates the divisions that existed within German society during the Nazi period.
The display includes authentic-style Nazi propaganda, representations of the Church, members of the public, and references to the sermons and writings of Pastor Martin Niemöller. Niemöller became a prominent critic of Nazi interference in the Church and was eventually imprisoned in a concentration camp for his opposition. His famous words, “First they came…”, are included to highlight the consequences of remaining silent in the face of persecution.
The attention to detail, historical understanding, and creativity shown in this piece are exceptional. The students have successfully combined historical knowledge with artistic design to create a powerful representation of conformity, resistance, and moral choice in Nazi Germany.
This is an impressive piece of work that deserves huge credit for both its ambition and execution.
