Their hard work is paying off, and it is truly heartwarming to witness their growth and development so early into the secondary school journey.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child's progress further, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your insights and feedback are always valued.

Mr Burt & Mr Turner

Year 9 have made an excellent start to the year. I am extremely impressed with the level of maturity that has been shown. Overall the pupils have improved even more than last year and this is due to the hard work they have put into their lessons and having excellent aspirations to be the best versions of themselves.

Learners have an Aspiration Trip to the Science Museum to look forward and the year group will be conducting a Head of Year football tournament after half term.

Please may I remind parents/carers that if they have any questions about their child's progress in specific subjects, they are to contact the subject teacher directly.

Mr Kalisch-Smith & Ms Worley

Year 10 have made an impressive start to the new academic year. With the mountain of GCSE preparation and exams looming, much work has been done settling students into their options and giving them the 'big picture', concerning their task over the next 18 months. There has been some expected anxiety, however it has been wonderful to see so many Year 10s beginning to use after school homework and subject clubs so soon to dive deep into their coursework. But on the whole, spirits have been high, and it has been encouraging to see significant personal growth since this year group left Year 9.

The road ahead will be heavy with coursework - options have officially closed, and we now must work together to ensure everyone feels supported in their classes.

Co-curricular clubs are still looking for more participation from Year 10, and while it will be a busy year, a mix of different activities and experiences is important to maintain the balance as our Year 10s reach for the stars.

Ms Tucker & Mr Al-Fahad

Year 11 have had a fantastic start to the term, settling into their final year and working really hard towards their GCSEs.

We have had a few exciting events happen in the past month including our Sixth Form Open Evening which many of you attended. We had a great turnout and we really look forward to seeing who applies in the next coming months.

We also had our Careers Fair with many universities, colleges and various industries in attendance. This was very successful and many Year 11s attended and gained important information for their next steps towards their future.

Lastly, we had our Year 11 English and Maths Achievement Evening which had a great turnout of 130 families. We thank you for attending, it was lovely to see you all and we hope you found the event helpful with guidance and advice for the upcoming exams.

We hope you have a lovely half term break.

Mr Patel

Year 12 and 13 have made a fantastic start to the new academic year. Year 12 have settled into the Sixth Form really well, and are working very hard in lessons, and taking part in a wide range of co-curricular opportunities available to them such as football, badminton, medical society, and karate. Year 13 have entered their final year in school, with a greater focus, and their hard work in ES lessons in particular, is paying off. Many have already sent off their UCAS application, and 1 student has already had four offers back!

I must commend students in both year groups who have supported the school so well in recent weeks at events such as Sixth Form and School Open Evening, Careers Fair, and during the recent bake sale (which raised £250!) The sense of community has been amazing in the Sixth Form, and I look forward to this developing as the year moves on.

After half-term Year 12 will start focusing on their future careers, by visiting an external careers fair and Brunel university. More information, including consent forms, will be sent to parents after half term. Year 13 UCAS applications for any students who have still not sent their application will also occur in November. The month will culminate in PPE examinations, so a very busy November is in store!

Wishing you and your family, a restful half term.
