Hello! My name is Michelle Troast. I graduated from York College of Pennsylvania in 2010 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I graduated from Rowan University in May 2019 with a M.A. in Reading Education and a Reading Specialist certification. I got married in August 2020 and now have two beautiful daughters. Emma loves being a big sister to her little sister, Lucy! We enjoy day trips to the zoo, park, and pool. Most of our summer days are spent at our family beach house, enjoying time at the library, and visiting animals. I reside with my husband and two daughters in Glassboro.
My journey at Harrison Township began in 2012. During my time at HTS, I have been awarded the opportunities to instruct children as a math interventionist, interim reading interventionist, and a classroom teacher. In September 2013, I continued my teaching career in second grade for five years. I enjoyed the time watching my students grow independently and develop a love of learning new skills. This is my eighth year in first grade, and I am eager to support and challenge my new learners in a safe learning environment. I am honored to be your child's first grade teacher and look forward to working together as a team!
