Wit & Wisdom

The ELA program is Wit & Wisdom. The modules are filled with rich literature, historical information, and fun word play. The students will be challenged to think critically and write exceptional essays. Homework will be assigned based on daily activities. More information will be provided as we get started, however students should use the provided daily planner to keep track of assignments and assessments.

5th Grade Supply List

Colored Pencils (one 12-count pack)
Pencils (please keep supplied all year)
Sturdy cinch sac ~ NO TRAPPER KEEPER
Headphones (no wireless or bluetooth)-recommendations: Wired Headphones (no wireless)-recommendations: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4 (sturdy)

ELA

1 inch hard cover binder (please make sure it has a cover pocket and an inside pocket)
Set of 5 tab dividers
Students should have a novel with them at all times to read ~ you are welcome to borrow off the classroom shelves!

Math

No additional materials

Science

1-inch binder or sturdy 3 hole punch plastic folder
Colored Pencils (one 12-count pack)

Social Studies

No additional materials

** You are welcome to bring any other coloring supplies you would like to use throughout the year.

Birthday Celebrations

We welcome birthday treats and look forward to celebrating your child's special day. Birthday treats will be shared during lunch in the cafeteria. Please keep these important details in mind...

Please email Mrs. Guenther in advance that treats will be coming to school.
Treats should be individually portioned or easily distributed to students. Please no sheetcakes.
Send in all necessary utensils, plates and napkins.
