Trimester 1: Coding and Digital Citizenship
During the first trimester students will learn about coding, using a variety of physical and digital coding toys and applications. We will also learn about what it means to be a good digital citizen following curriculum provided by Common Sense Media.
Trimester 2 & 3: Engineering DEsign Process
Trimester 2 & 3: Engineering DEsign Process
During the 2nd and 3rd trimester students will learn about the Engineering Design Process. They will work on problem solving skills through designing and building innovative ideas to solve problems. Projects will focus on solving a problem to help someone, emphasizing empathy and the Design Process. Curriculum adapted from Engineering is Elementary (EiE).

During trimester 3, our first graders will be learning about the wind as a renewable energy source. They will try to create, test, and improve sail designs to best "catch" the wind.
2nd Grade
2nd Grade
During trimester 3, our second graders will learn about the importance of clean water and how many people in the world do no have easy access to clean water. They will learn about ways of cleaning water.
3rd Grade
3rd Grade
During trimester 3, our third graders will learn about solar power.
