Alex Moore is in his his 13th year of coaching this season, 12 of which as a head coach. He is a 2007 graduate of Tiftarea Academy in Chula , GA and attended Georgia Southern University where he majored in Physical Education and Health.
After graduation, Coach Moore moved to Washington, Georgia where he taught Special Education and coached wrestling at Washington-Wilkes High School for 3 years He coached 2 State finalist and 5 State Qualifiers and his teams set school dual records for wins twice before moving to Harris County.
At Harris County, Coach Moore has coached the team to 6 straight State Duals appearances including a 5th place finish in 2020, 39 individual State Qualifiers, 17 State Placers and 3 State Champions. He won the All Bi-City Coach of the year award in back to back years in 2019 and 2020 as his teams also won the City Championship in those years a well including 2021.
Coach Moore is in his 12th year teaching and holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern. Alex has been married to his wife, formerly Morgan Hunt, a 2008 graduate of Harris County High since 2013. They have 2 boys: Charlie (6) and Hollis (3)
