Hello! My name is Brieann Fountain and I am the high school counselor of the Harrisburg R-VIII School District. A little bit about me: Reading is my number 1 hobby. I ALWAYS have a book going with 2-4 books on deck. I love anything pop-culture related (books, movies, TV, music, etc.) and I make an excellent trivia team member! I am an amateur make-up artist, I like to paint (again, totally amateur), and I love to write. I would like to write a novel someday!

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Columbia College and Master of Education in Counseling at Stephens College. In addition to my role as school counselor, I also teach Career Explorations, help with HS cheer, and am a student council co-sponsor. First, I would like to introduce myself since this is my first year with Harrisburg! My name is Rachel Chott and I am the K-8 School Counselor for the Harrisburg R-VIII School District. I am a wife and mom of 3 boys who keep me on my toes! While we do not reside in Harrisburg, we live far North of Columbia so we aren't too far away. I've always loved children and had thoughts of being a teacher. However, during my oldest son's elementary years, I decided that school counseling would be a better fit for me since I experienced first hand what it took to advocate for my son. As a parent, I understand the worries and concerns we have for our children. I am so excited to meet your kiddos and thrive as a 2nd year school counselor!!

After completing my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education at Columbia College, I decided to move forward with my education at Stephens College. There I was able to earn my Master of Education in Counseling, specializing in School Counseling.
