Leigh Anne has proudly served Harper ISD for more than 23 years. After beginning her career as a classroom teacher, she became the school counselor in 2015. She earned her bachelor's degree from Texas State University, a Master of Education degree from Grand Canyon University, and her School Counselor certification through Angelo State University.
She is passionate about helping students discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and prepare for success beyond high school. She believes every student deserves support, encouragement, and opportunities to reach their full potential. She works closely with students, families, staff, and community partners to support the academic, social-emotional, and college and career development of all students.
Harper is more than a place she works - it is a community she deeply values and proudly calls home. Leigh Anne and her husband, Scott, a Harper ISD teacher and coach, have been married for 24 years and have two sons. When she's not at school, she enjoys spending time with family, attending sporting events, and caring for the animals on their small ranch.
Students and families are encouraged to contact the school counseling office whenever support is needed. Whether a student has questions about academics, future plans, personal concerns, or simply needs someone to talk to, we are here to help.
No concern is too small.
