Welcome to a fun and exciting year in 6th grade Social Studies! This year we will explore the geography of the Western and Eastern Hemispheres, after we spend some time learning basic geography skills. As part of our study of World Geography, we will introduce concepts in government, economics, and culture as we apply them to regions around the world. I hope your bags are packed because we're going around the world in 180 days (approximately)!

About Me: I will be teaching 6th grade social studies. I am originally from Mason, just south of Lansing. This is my sixth year teaching with Harper Creek. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education and a focus in Social Studies. I have my Master's Degree from Arkansas State University in Education Theory and Practice. I am really looking forward to meeting all of you and I am confident that it will be a great school year!
