To serve as the change agent in the San Antonio region by creating a talent pipeline of high school graduates who are college-educated with foundations in high-demand careers. The average starting pay for our program graduates who work in one of our STEM industries is a salary of $42,000. Graduates who have furthered their education after high school have been awarded over $14.3 million in scholarships. Manufacturers in San Antonio are continually growing and in search of future employees that are familiar with and passionate about manufacturing. The manufacturing industry is one of the largest sectors of the San Antonio economy and contributed $40.5 billion to it in 2016.
At the Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Academy, you will acquire the entry-level skills necessary for success in the Advanced Manufacturing profession. At the conclusion of the program, you’ll be able to identify machine operations, machine tools, and inspection procedures.
Graduates from the Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Academy who decide to enter the workforce can expect a starting salary of $20 to $27 an hour.

Our program will provide you with skilled and motivated graduates who have taken courses such as technical calculations, precision tools and management, basic machine shop, robotics, and introduction to computer-aided manufacturing. Graduates have also earned a 10-hour OSHA card, Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Certified Production Technician Safety and Quality Certification, Certificate of Completion in Manufacturing Skills Trade Helper, and Certificate of Completion in Tool Operator/Maintenance Assistant.
The aerospace industry is in high demand in San Antonio. If you would like to learn more about working as an airframe and powerplant technician, aircraft electrician, aircraft avionics technician, or aircraft fuel systems technician, the Aerospace Academy may be right for you.
Our program is accredited by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and can help you earn FAA’s Airframe and Powerplant license. You’ll receive comprehensive training and become well-versed in the manufacturing and repair of small airplanes and jumbo jets.
After graduation, you may enter the aerospace industry and earn anywhere from $10 to $15 an hour.

Our program can provide you with knowledgeable employees who have been deeply exposed to the aerospace industry through internship experience and courses such as aviation science, basic electricity, federal aviation regulations, ground operations, aircraft turbine engine theory, weight and balance, and aircraft sheet metal. Graduates have also earned a 10-hour OSHA card, Aircraft Technology Occupational Skills Award (OSA), and Level 1 Certificate of Completion in Aircraft Turbine Mechanic or Level 1 Certificate of Completion in Aircraft Structures Mechanic.
There are numerous San Antonio companies in construction, transportation, agriculture, oil, gas, and mining that have the need for diesel technicians. If you’d like to find out what it’s like to work in the highly technical and competitive field of diesel technology, the Diesel Technology Academy will be a good option.
After graduation, you’ll be equipped with the skills necessary for an entry-level diesel technician job at companies such as HOLT CAT, ASCO, Rush Truck Enterprise, and RDO. You can expect to earn about $15 an hour to start.

Our program will provide you with entry-level diesel technicians who have gained valuable internship experience and completed courses such as shop safety and procedures, diesel engines, electronic controls, basic hydraulics, advanced hydraulics, and preventative maintenance. Graduates have also earned a 10-hour OSHA card, HOLT CAT ProTech Engine D&A DE 101, HOLT CAT ProTech Electricity TG 101, HOLT CAT ProTech Hydraulics TM 28, HOLT CAT ProTech Electronic Troubleshooting DE 205, Level 1 Certificate of Completion in Diesel Heavy Equipment, and Level 1 Certificate of Completion in Advanced Diesel Heavy Equipment.
There is a high demand in San Antonio for nurses and other health careers. If you’re pursuing a career in healthcare, consider enrolling in the Health Professions Academy. Courses in this program can transfer to other colleges and universities for those wanting to pursue other healthcare career paths.
Once you complete the two-year program, you’ll automatically be accepted into San Antonio College’s Nursing program and can complete your nursing degree. As an entry-level nurse, you can expect a starting salary of over $57,500.

The Technology and Security Academy focuses on computer engineering, computer science, problem-solving, and communication skills. You’ll earn Testout Certification in PC Pro, Network Pro, Linux Pro, and Security Pro and can continue training to receive other industry certifications or use your college credits toward further education at the college level.
You may land a position as a computer support specialist and help with log-in difficulties, operating system and software malfunctions, network technologies, and even hardware issues.
