Harlington School - COVID update 29th June 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Unfortunately, we have recently had 4 positive cases of COVID at school. We have followed the advice from Public Health England, and have advised students deemed to be in close contact to self isolate for the required period. For Year 7 and Year 9, a small group of students have been asked to self isolate. For Year 8, 4 form classes are self isolating.

If your child has to self isolate, and is eligible for Free School Meals, we will provide Tesco vouchers for the 10 day isolation period.

All students have access to Office365, where staff place lesson overviews and activities every day in the event that they have to self isolate. Where a larger group are asked to self isolate, we will set up live lessons - students will receive a Zoom invite via Office 365 for this.

As cases appear to be rising, we would ask that you continue help us to identify positive cases so that we can avoid onward transmission. Please continue to test your children twice a week, even if they have no symptoms, as this is the best way to avoid onward transmission in the school community.
