Welcome to Machesney Elementary School!

Dear Machesney Families and Students,

As the principal of Machesney Elementary, I am honored to welcome you to our vibrant and growing school community. We are entering an era of exciting transformation, marked by significant expansions and enrichments that further define our dedication to excellence. Machesney remains the proud home of the district’s bilingual HoLA program, and we continue to value how this initiative deeply enriches our cultural fabric. Furthermore, our consolidation plan has successfully added neighborhood students across first through fifth, with the addition of first, second, and third grades to the building. The addition of these eight classrooms has brought a wonderful new energy to our hallways. Complemented by our status as the district’s Fine Arts Program hub, we offer a unique, arts-infused environment that fosters creativity and provides exceptional opportunities for every student.

This growth is reflected in the addition of 15 talented new staff members and over 250 new students, all of whom contribute to the dynamic spirit of our building. Throughout the summer, we have worked diligently to update our classrooms, offices, and hallways to ensure a modern and welcoming space for all.
