Mental Health
We have decided as a school that investing time in developing children's mental health is key to helping children succeed at school and beyond.
Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year? That would be 25% of the children at Harlands. In England 1 in 6 people report experiencing common mental health problems (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week.
Our focus this year will be around getting children to recognise their own and others emotions. We will also be teaching children about how mindfulness can help children to have the space to think.
